Day 1
Lima arrival
Welcome to Peru! Lima is one of the most significant and modern cities in South America. It was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro. Upon landing in Lima, you will proceed through Immigration and Baggage Claim. Proceed through Customs, where our representative will be holding a sign bearing your name. Our representative will assist you with your luggage and your hotel transfer from the airport.
You will receive a welcome package detailing your itinerary, transportation, and emergency contact information. A vehicle and driver will transport you to the hotel of your choice.
Day 2
Ballestas + huacachina + ica overnight
Early in the morning, a staff member will pick you up from your Lima hotel and transport you to the Lima bus station for your bus trip to Ica.
A staff member will meet you at the Ica bus station and take you to the port where the Ballestas Islands boat tour will depart from.

Day 3
Am nazca arrival & nazca overflight & bus to arequipa
Fly across the dry Nazca Desert in order to view the renowned Nazca Lines. Admire the stylised animal and mystical creature geoglyphs.
Explore one of the world’s driest regions from above and attempt to understand the riddle of the Nazca civilisation.
In the late afternoon, you’ll take a comfortable overnight bus to Arequipa.
Day 4
Arequipa city tour
We will begin the activity by picking you up from your hotel and transporting you to the first two stops on the itinerary: Carmen Alto and Yanahuara. We will have a panoramic view of the city and the Misti Volcano from this vantage point. We will then proceed to the Plaza de Armas, where we will learn about the cathedral, the surrounding arches, and the ‘Compaa de Jess’ Church. Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina monastery, a colonial-era cloister that evolved into a little settlement over time, and which offers us a very clear understanding of what Arequipa’s 17th-century architecture was like. Following this activity, the tour will conclude. Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 5
Colca canyon day 1
The highway leading out of Arequipa will be our first stop after picking you up from your accommodation. We’ll have to make short acclimatization breaks as we climb in elevation. We’ll stop at the Caahuelas Pampa reserve to see alpacas and vicuas. Our next stop will be Patahuasi, where we will spend a few minutes. We’ll continue on to Tacra, where we’ll be able to see the region’s vegetation and fauna.
Patapampa, the 4,800-meter-high volcano’s vantage point, is the next site on the tour’s itinerary (15,748 feet). In Chivay, we’ll eat lunch and settle into our motels before continuing on to the city of Aguadilla. We’ll be able to relax at the thermal springs of Cahacapi (entry price not included) in the afternoon, and then we’ll be able to eat dinner in Chivay. We’ll go to bed early tonight so we can get a good night’s sleep before tomorrow’s big day.
Day 6
Colca canyon day 2 / arrival to puno
In the morning you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then you will be transfer to the Cruz del Cóndor (Cross of the Condor). Visit the vantage point from which you can observe some condors in flight on this excursion. While in Yanque and Maca, we’ll get the opportunity to visit the local plazas and craft markets. After that, we’ll head back to Chivay for a leisurely lunch.
Departure around noon to Puno city.

Day 7
Lake titicaca full day
This full-day trip to Lake Titicaca begins with a pickup at your Puno hotel. You’ll be accompanied by an English-speaking guide as you visit the islands of Uros and Taquille on the lake.
Tortora reeds are used to make all of the structures on the islands of Uros. In pre-Inca times, it was inhabited by a small group of people. You should spend some time with the locals before moving on to Taquile, which has a more Aymara-influenced culture.
A traditional lunch will be served on the island before a visit to a weavers’ cooperative, where you can see for yourself the craftsmanship of the islanders.
Return to your hotel in Puno after a fascinating tour of the islands’ traditions.
Day 8
Puno to cusco sun route
Take off at 7:00 a.m. to begin your tour.
Learn about an ancient civilisation that thrived in the high plains some 2,000 years ago as you visit the Pucara Lithic Museum. The Pucara culture was known for its stone carvings depicting anthropomorphic figures.
A guided tour of Raqchi’s Archaeological Complex includes a stop to the Temple of Wiracocha God, an Inca pilgrimage site, and agricultural terraces, an artificial lagoon, and Inca homes.
For lunch, head to the town of Sicuani, Peru’s second-largest city, where you can sample some of the country’s best cuisine. See the 5300-meter-high Chimboya mountain, which dominates the landscape.
The San Pedro de Andahuaylillas chapel is regarded one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in the Andes because of its lavish decorating.

Day 9
Cusco city tour + inca highlights
With a guided tour from Cusco, you’ll get a chance to learn about Peru’s ancient history. Take in the sights of Cusco Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Peru’s Sacred Valley, and Tambomachay with live commentary. Explore the Inca Empire’s way of life.
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at around 1:00 PM to begin the tour. The Cusco Cathedral, a 16th-century colonial monument that took more than 100 years to build, should be your first port of call. Visit the Coricancha, commonly known as the Temple of the Sun, the most prominent Inca temple.As you explore Sacsayhuaman’s towers, walls, and tunnels, you’ll uncover even more ancient treasures. In the Sacred Valley, visit the Temple Qenqo and Puca Pucara, two massive military fortifications with intriguing stone arrangements.
Lastly, see the Tambomachay, a 3700-meter-high Inca citadel surrounded by a series of water features that are said to have been erected in honor of water.
At around 6 p.m., return to Cusco and back to your hotel.
Day 10
Sacred valley tour + train to aguas calientes
Mirador of Taray is the first destination on our full-day excursion from Cusco that offers stunning views of the Andes and sacred Valley.’ Continue on to Pisac, where you’ll find a bustling market.
Take a tour of the archeological site and see out the agricultural terraces, Inca graves, and royal residences. Continue to Urubamba, where you can stop for a buffet lunch.
Head to Ollantaytambo, which was built to protect the Incas from possible invasions and to guard the entrance to Machu Picchu.
Train to Aguas Calientes / overnight at MachuPicchu pueblo.
Day 11
Machupicchu tour & return to cusco
This is the day you’ve been looking forward to! After an early breakfast at your hotel, you’ll board one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu to catch the sunrise. It is a truly extraordinary site that you will not want to miss! Your guide will take you on the entire tour, which will last approximately two hours. You will see all of the most important parts of Machu Picchu, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of Three Windows, the Sun Dial, the Quarry, and the Inca House. You’ll also learn about Machu Picchu’s three sectors: agricultural, residential, and religious.
Those who have pre-booked extra hikes up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain will have time to enjoy the views on their own after your tour. After you’ve had your fill of the breathtaking views of Machu Picchu, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). Depending on when your train departs, you may also have time to go shopping, sightseeing, or visit a museum or hot springs.
The train will return you to Ollantaytambo by following the beautiful Urubamba River. The canyon near Aguas Calientes is narrow, and the river has many beautiful sections of whitewater. If you look up high on the steep canyon wall, you can see Wiay Wayna from the train! When you arrive back in Ollantaytambo, your driver will meet you at the train station exit and drive you back to your Cusco hotel in our private vehicle. You should arrive at your hotel late in the afternoon.
Day 12
Cusco departure
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to explore Cusco before being transferred to the airport for your flight back to Lima.
