Gyeongbok Palace:
Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first and largest of the royal palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace was located at the heart of newly appointed capital of Seoul (then known as Hanyang) and represented the sovereignty of the Joseon Dynasty. The largest of the Five Grand Palaces (the others being Gyeonghuigung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace), Gyeongbokgung served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty.

National Folk Museum:
National Folk Museum of Korea is a national museum of South Korea, located within the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and uses replicas of historical objects to illustrate the history of traditional life of the Korean people

Presedential Blue House:
The signature markings of the Presidential Residence of Cheong Wa Dae are its blue tiles. It is the first thing that catches one’s attention upon entering the premises. The blue tiles and the smooth roof blend beautifully with Bugaksan Mountain in the backdrop.

The unique buildings of Cheong Wa Dae are comprised of the Main Office, Yeongbingwan (Guest House), Chunchugwan (Spring and Autumn Pavilion), Nokjiwon (Green grass), the Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon) Valley, and the Seven Palaces. It is interesting to see that these buildings all have distinctive shapes. They are unique and beautifully designed, built in the Korean traditional style. The blue tiles and the smooth curve shape of the main office roofs are elegantly built. Approximately 150 thousand tiles compose the roof of the Blue House. Each were baked individually which make them strong enough to be used for hundreds of years. If you turn to the right you will see Chunchugwan. The roof of Chunchugwan was made of earthen tiles. This is where the president’s press conferences are held. On the left side of the main office, there is the Yeongbingwan. It was designed to hold large conferences and official events for foreign guests.

Amethyst or Ginseng Center:
A typical full day tour of Seoul was included in our Goway package with visits to: Jogyesa Buddhist Temple, Changing of the Guard, Gyeongbokgung Place, Presidential Blue House, lunch, Cheongwadae Sarangchae. Changdeok Palace, Ginseng Center, Amethyst Center, Insadong and Namdaemun Markets. Some sites were interesting, others underwhelming, but that’s a group day tour which does give an overall view Seoul.

A rushed, pre-ordered lunch with choice of typical Korean Bulgogi or Bibimbap in the Itaewon area was nothing to write home about or, I should say, nothing to post about. Radish, kimchi, something that tasted like cole slaw, seaweed and a hot sauce.

After Breakfast visit BukchonHanok Village, N Seoul Tower, Amethyst or Ginseng Center, Cheonggye stream, Myeongdong Sending

BukchonHanok Village
Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village in Seoul with a long history located on the top of a hill between Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine. The traditional village is composed of lots of alleys, hanok and is preserved to show a 600-year-old urban environment.

N Seoul Tower
The N Seoul Tower, officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. At 236 metres, it marks the second highest point in Seoul

Amethyst or Ginseng Center

Cheonggye stream:
Cheonggyecheon is a 10.9-kilometre-long, modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul, South Korea. The massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before the rapid post-war economic development caused it to be covered by transportation infrastructure.

After Breakfast, Private transfer to Train station. It takes around 2-3 hrs to reach Busan. On arrival, pvt transfer from Train station – Hotel.

After Breakfast visit Jagalchi fishery market- Yongdusan Park-Lunch – APEC house- Haeundae Beach- Centum city. Jagalchi Market: Jagalchi Market, located on the shoreside road in Busan’s Jung-gu, is Korea’s largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumma, “ajumma” meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore. Yongdusan Park: Yongdusan Park is a park located in Jung-gu, Busan, South Korea. The 120-meter-high Busan Tower is located here. Yongdu means dragon’s head and san means mountain. The name is an allusion to the similarity of the mountain park, which is said to resemble a dragon’s head. APEC House Nurimaru APEC House is evaluated as the most beautiful place among the meeting places during the APEC Leaders’ Meeting on Dongbaek Island. It is the place where the 2nd APEC Leaders’ Meeting, Leaders’ Luncheon, and the Official Photograph took place during APEC 2005 KOREA. Haeundae Beach Haeundae Beach is an urban beach in Busan, South Korea. Often dubbed one of the country’s most famous and popular beaches, it is located in the eponymous Haeundae District. The beach is busy year-round, and various festivals are held there throughout the year Centum City Centum City is a major multi-project urban development part of Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. This site is at the westernmost area of Haeundae-gu in U-1-dong, Jae-song-dong. The site was originally the place of Suyeong Airport, the former airport of Busan.
